Chapter 4

Restriction Procedures

14

Article 14 (Procedure and Opportunity to Explain)

  1. Where a Member's Improper Conduct is confirmed, the Company will impose a Restriction Measure under Article 4 taking into account the type and severity of the conduct, and will, as a rule, give the Member an opportunity to explain before doing so.
  2. However, where urgent action is deemed necessary, such as in cases of gambling activity, hacking, or other conduct that seriously impairs the stable operation of the Service, the Company may act first and notify the Member of the reason without delay thereafter.
  3. When imposing a Restriction Measure, the Company will notify the Member of the reason, the content and duration of the measure, and how to appeal, through an in-Service notification, e-mail, or similar means.
15

Article 15 (Escalation Criteria)

  1. The specific duration of a Restriction Measure is determined by comprehensively considering the type of Improper Conduct, intent, the scale of harm, and whether the conduct is repeated.
  2. Where the same or similar Improper Conduct is repeated, the Company may escalate measures according to the following criteria.
    1. (a) First violation: warning or fixed-term suspension of up to 7 days
    2. (b) Second violation: fixed-term suspension of up to 30 days
    3. (c) Third violation: fixed-term suspension of up to 90 days
    4. (d) Fourth or subsequent violation, or a serious violation such as gambling activity or distribution of unauthorized programs: permanent suspension
  3. Where no same or similar Improper Conduct recurs for 1 year from the date of the most recent Restriction Measure, the violation count used for escalation is reset.
  4. Notwithstanding Paragraph 2, where the Improper Conduct is serious or causes significant harm to other Members or the Service, the Company may impose permanent suspension immediately regardless of the violation count.
16

Article 16 (Appeals)

  1. A Member who objects to a Restriction Measure may file an appeal through the customer center within 14 days of receiving notice of the measure.
  2. The Company will notify the appellant of the outcome within 14 days of receiving the appeal. Where additional investigation is required to confirm the facts, the Company may extend the processing period after informing the Member of the reason and the expected completion date.
17

Article 17 (Lifting of Restrictions)

  1. A fixed-term suspension is lifted automatically upon expiry of the set period without a separate request.
  2. The Company may lift a Restriction Measure where the grounds for the measure have been resolved or where the measure is found to have been unjustified as a result of an appeal.
  3. Permanent suspension and compulsory withdrawal are not lifted as a rule, but the Company may exceptionally permit re-registration or similar relief in accordance with procedures it establishes.

Chapter 5

Miscellaneous

18

Article 18 (Special Provision on Features and Games Not Provided)

This Policy does not set restriction criteria for features or games that the Company does not currently provide in the Service. Where the Company expands the scope of the Service in the future by adding new features or games, the Company will first establish the related restriction criteria through an amendment to this Policy and then apply them.

19

Article 19 (Prevention of Recurrence and Use of Information)

To prevent the recurrence of Improper Conduct, the Company may retain and use related information (account information, access records, payment information, etc.) to the extent permitted by applicable law. The processing of such information is governed by the Privacy Policy.

20

Article 20 (Amendment of this Policy)

  1. The Company may amend this Policy to the extent it does not violate applicable law, and will announce amendments by applying, mutatis mutandis, the procedure in Article 4, Paragraph 2 of the Terms of Service.
  2. Where this Policy is amended, the amended Policy applies to Improper Conduct occurring on or after the effective date of the amendment.
